Family Biography
Julie and I are both Colorado natives and grew up in the suburbs of Denver. We knew each other in Junior High and High School, but didn't start dating until after High School.
After High School Julie went to school at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont and I went to Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colorado. We did the long distance relationship thing for three years until Julie graduated in 1999 and moved to Fort Collins.
When I graduated in 2000 we got married. Later that fall Julie quit her job at a local Internet development firm and started here own - Clay Pot Consulting, LLC. She's been doing that and I've been working as a contractor with the USDA Forest Service (and occasionally helping out with Clay Pot Consulting) ever since.
Over the years the Leach Family has swelled to include Isabelle the cat (1999), Alley the cat (2000), Poudre the Silky Terrier (2001), and Thompson the Jack Russell Terrier (2005).
Since finishing school Julie and I have drifted in and out of several hobbies and interests. With an addictive personality, my enthusiasm has shifted from backpacking and fishing, to bicycle racing, to peakbagging, and most recently to rock climbing/alpine climbing and four wheeling. Julie has also taken up rock climbing and makes for the ideal cragging partner - she can follow anything I can lead but has little interest in getting on the sharp end herself. In addition to four wheeling, rock climbing, and tagging along with me on various adventures Julie also spends time kayaking and gardening.
