On March 11, 2006 Michael Hodges and I attempted to climb Mount Meeker via the Iron Gates - two large towers that flank a gully used to reach Meeker Ridge.
The weather was uncooperative and we were just too slow and weak to make it to the summit. We ended up turning around after reaching the false, eastern summit - only 60 vertical feet or so shy of the true summit.
