On December 10, 2005 we drove over the mountains to pick up the latest addition to the Leach Family - Thompson the Jack Russell Terrier. Julie had been in touch with Vicki Watts, a breeder in Delta, for several weeks and we had been following Thompson's growth since he was just two weeks old (Thompson and I have the same birthday). Although it was a little difficult for Vicki to give him up, we were really eager to get him home.
Thompson made a nearly flawless integration into the family and within a day or two he was playing enthusiastically with Poudre and Alley, sleeping through the night (mostly), and making great strides toward being housebroken. We don't know how we ever got along without him! |
