(1) As I near the fork in Avalanche Canyon Buck Mountain comes into view on the left. The summit of Mount Wister remains hidden.
(2) The lower portions of Avalanche Canyon were filled with these blue flowers.
(3) Shoshoki Falls comes into view.
(4) A moose eats breakfast.
(5) Mount Wister and Shoshoki Falls.
(6) Another shot of Mount Wister and Lake Taminah.
(7) There were lots of yellow Columbines in North Avalanche Canyon.
(8) I passed this little waterfall just below the second headwall in North Avalanche Canyon.
(9) More wildflowers.
(10) A nice cascade above the second headwall in North Avalanche Canyon.
(11) Looking up at the saddle between Mount Wister and Veiled Peak. The perspective is a little distorted, but the peak right of center is actually the summit of Veiled Peak.
(12) One of the ledges I used to climb up Mount Wister's Northwest Face.
(13) Looking down Wister's West Ridge.
(14) Buck Mountain.
(15) Typical scrambling on Mount Wister's West Ridge.
(16) View of Nez Perce, Cloudveil Dome, and Grand Teton behind from just below Wister's west summit.
(17) Snowdrift Lake.
(18) Veiled Peak and Wister's West Ridge.
(19) Looking back down a hairy section of the ridge. It was steep!
(20) Looking at Buck Mountain from just below Wister's west summit. This cliff band stymied my summit bid.
(21) Looking up the gully I descended into South Avalanche Canyon.
(22) Veiled Peak as seen from South Avalanche Canyon.
(23) Looking back up the endless boulder fields of South Avalanche Canyon. Buck Mountain looms above.
(24) More wildflowers.
(25) Were you looking at my bum? Cheeky monkey... bum looker!
