(1) If you thought South Colony Lakes Road was treacherous under optimal conditions try it at night with a couple inches of snow!
(2) Barry was hatin' life without snowshoes. Alan and I were sinking knee deep with our snowshoes but Barry was sinking waist deep without 'em.
(3) Alan and Barry leave the shelter of the trees. Notice how deep Barry is sinking in the snow compared to Alan.
(4) Looking southeast from Marble Mountain's northeast ridge.
(5) Alan with Humboldt's east ridge behind him.
(6) Humbolt Peak.
(7) Alan sets off from timberline toward the summit.
(8) Looking southeast at what I think might be Blueberry Peak.
(9) View (or lack there of) of the Crestones. You can see frozen South Colony Lake and the very bottom portion of Ellingwood Arete. The high point on the left is UN 13,161.
(10) Looking up toward the summit with UN 13,161 on the right.
(11) Alan climbs Marble Mountain's northeast ridge. The sun tried to come out all day but never quite made it.
(12) Barry stops to catch his breath with Humboldt behind.
(13) Alan climbs.
(14) Barry and Alan make their way up the ridge.
(15) Barry approaches the summit.
(16) Looking north from the summit.
(17) We made it!
(18) We were thankful to make it back into the shelter of the trees.
(19) View of Marble Mountain from Rainbow Trail.
